What Books Will Help You
As an English learner, there are a LOT of books that you can get to help you with your English. These are split up into two categories:
- Books that have been specifically written for English learners
- Normal books
But, what should you buy to help you with your journey to English fluency?
I can’t recommend a specific book because you everyone has different interests and different levels of English.
But the key is finding a book that is comprehensible (you can understand what is happening) and also interesting; a book that you can’t put down.
As you progress, I recommend reading more books that are native and haven’t specifically been written for English learners. But, reading more understandable books is the best thing to do if you need to do this.
Additionally, find books that have audio. This will help you with your English learning and comprehension.
One last thing: read books that you want to read, not books you think you have to read. If you don’t enjoy the book, put it down.
What to Do Now:
Tell me your favorite book that you have read in English (leave your answer in the comment section below).
The books I’ve had read are Bram Stocker’s “Dracula”; David Levithan’s “Mummy”; Edgar A.Poe’s ” The Facts in The Case of Mr Valdemar and some Charles Dickens’ books. In this moment I’m reading “The Adventure of the blue carbuncle “, of Conan Doyle. I recommend all them.
Thanks for the recommendations Almir!
