I often get asked:Â “How long will it take me to become fluent in English?”
Find out the answer here and learn how you can speed up that process!
The Three Things that Matter
How long it takes you to become fluent in English (having a C1 level) depends on the following:
- Your current level
- How much time you spend learning English
- What you do
The first one is obvious. If you currently have a B1 level you will reach C1 before someone who currently has an A1 level.
Let’s now talk about time.
How Much Time Do You Spend Learning English?
This is key and we can all do more.
Yes, we have other things going on. Things like jobs, families, hobbies, school work, and things we enjoy doing.
But like I said in the video, if having a high level is important to you, you’ll find the time to do this.
Make this a priority. If you don’t know when you can study, watch this video:
Do the Right Things to Become Fluent in English Fast
Like I said, if you spend four hours per day – a lot of time – studying verb tables, then you won’t progress.
Instead, use my two-hour study plan as a guide:
- 30 minutes of pronunciation training
- 30 minutes of listening and reading
- 30 minutes of my speaking method
- 30 minutes of conversation practice
This is a powerful study plan. This will help you speak English with confidence.
Adapt this plan to suit your needs and schedule. Know that you can listen while doing other things and my speaking method can be done throughout the day.
You don’t need to have conversations on a daily basis. You might want to practice your writing too.
Over to You
