In this English lesson, you’re going to learn how to use the expression be about to.

Be About To…

As I mentioned in the video, we use this phrase when we’re going to do something in the immediate future.

Here are the examples that I gave in the video:

  • We’re just about to go to a restaurant
  • I think she’s just about to throw up
  • I’m about to lose my mind

The last example is an American expression. You may hear this in TV shows and movies.
